Manage your rules with Rule Picker

The Rules tab provides a centralized interface to create, manage, and configure rules within a form.

The left panel of the Rules Editor contains two primary tabs:

  • Rule/Triggers
  • Properties

These tabs allow you to perform various rule-related operations efficiently.

Rule Picker

The Rule Picker in the Rule/Triggers tab displays all rule-related actions available for the form. It provides options to create, search, and delete rules, as well as manage variables.

Key Options:

  • Create Rule – Adds a new rule to the form.
  • Create Variable – Creates a new variable within the form.
  • Help – Enables searching for keywords and function names to understand their usage.

Rules

The Rules tab displays all rules available in the form. This section provides a quick overview of all rules and allows you to easily select and manage them.

Key Options:

  • Delete Rule – Deletes the selected rule.
  • Search Rule – Allows you to search for rules.
  • ReOrder Rules – Allows to reorder the rules.

Attached Trigger 

The Attached Trigger tab displays the triggers associated with the selected rule.

Trigger 

The Triggers section lists all available triggers in the form, including:

  • Default triggers
  • Control-specific triggers

Variables

The Variables section  displays all variables defined within the form.

Debug Points

 Displays all debug points configured for the rules.

Properties

Selecting a rule and clicking on the Properties tab opens the Properties panel.

Key Options:

  • Execute
    Enables or disables the selected rule.
    • Checked: Rule is active
    • Unchecked: Rule is disabled
  • Comments
    Allows you to add a brief description or notes about the rule for better understanding and maintainability.
